Poll Results & Bug Fix!
Hello everyone and welcome to a mid-week update! We saved this update since it's quite boring and a bit more of a “cleaning up” kind of update. Today we have news about our recent community poll and some changes to auctions.
📝 Community Poll Results
Our community poll results are in! We asked you to vote on updating all the old art to generics or not. The results of the poll show 96 of you voted with 57.3% voting to update all the horse art to our new style using generic bases. This means all breeds in-game that don’t have their own stand-alone art will keep a generic base until their art is updated.
However, we were asked if we would consider this suggestion and add these changes should all the art be updated to the new style. Of which, we are happy to oblige. As an exciting bit of an art sneak peek let’s take a look at our generic draft base with these fancy bolder base colors.
With the updated colors, we will be re-working our currently in progress bases. This means we are pushed back a bit with releases with a new goal to have all the campaign breeds done by mid-January and currently done pures done by the end of January. Thunderbolt will be working on our generic horse bases which means the switch to those will occur once those are ready to release. The date we change over to all of the new art style is TBD. We are working to both release new base colors, release updated tack, and release the full back log of all our bases. Whew. Lots to do!
🦟 Auction Changes
Apparently during the life-time of our auctions there has been a major bug that allowed folks to magically make ingots and money appear. Thankfully, we were alerted to this but have found that the auction bug had previously been seriously abused. Due to our logging system, most of the bug abuse can not be traced back and we are having to check questionable accounts manually. Sadly, several players who abused the bug have been able to have ingots in-game without spending any RL money which has cost the game a very pretty penny and put many ingots on the market that should not be. A huge thank you to those who reported this bug to us and were honest when you realized what had happened. To those who abused the error, you will only be able to see this news from afar as your accounts have been banned.
Now on to the changes. Due to the nature of the bug and after getting input from our staff, we have removed the option to delete your auction bids. This means when you bid on an auction you can no longer remove that bid. Auctions now function like: you place a bid, a pop up asks you to confirm you want to make a bid, you confirm and your bid is placed and bid amount removed from your total.
✨ New Moderator
We are happy to welcome back our moderator pal, beni! Beni has returned to the HoFa team as one of our moderators. You will see her around the site, along with the rest of the team, with a green “M” badge.

I am super disappointed the results went towards all generic art. I wont lie, it makes me not want to play. Its going to make things so frustrating. My account may go back to Frozen when the time comes. I wont want to breed or catch wilds. How many horses can I go through before they get to the breed they are supposed to be? Like, they got their breed art finally and theres hundreds of them long retired now, so I can only look at what they are supposed to be but are gone now. No, I will probably be either freezing my account or all of my horses at any rate. I see no point to them all looking the same. And again, you will have to readjust all the tack a second time to then fit when they get their breed art, rather than just, holding off on tack.
To me, tack just isn't as important as the breeds themselves. Tack is just an added bonus. I hope it doesn't turn any players from joining when all horses look the same.

The new draft base is 😍(Would have liked a slightly bigger head) ! The new colors look awesome so far, it'll be interesting seeing them in full with patterns and things like roan included…. I wont say I am the happiest about everything going generic, but I am very happy the colors are being adjusted and hopefully it helps you guys moving forward with things like tack, adjustments, and the sorts…. Itll be a hrad change…
I hope community feedback for some breeds will still be an option? So far most of the breeds that get feedback in some way seem to be quite impressive, while one's that dont get it have been kinda hit or miss? I think some of the non feedback ones still look amazing, but others not so much. But regardless Thunder is doing an amazing job 👏 Dont burn yourself out with deadlines!
WELCOME BACK TO MOD BENI! (More officially lol) I am happy to see you guys added another mod! Especially one the community knows, loves, has experience, and who is on a good bit! Will there be any news about helpers being reinstated or anything?

so does this mean all old horse art is being updated or will not be updated? I was really hoping to see old art (such as marwari) get redone
@rahbit Horses are still going to be getting breed specific art, just while their art is being worked on they will be a generic cross. Its temporary until they get their own.
