Hey I had a question about horses retiring. If they retire while items are equipped then do you lose the items or do they go back to storage?

Pro → I think they retire with the horse, but I am not SURE.

If I am remembering correctly, the items are returned back to you when they retire. I have had horses retire on me but the problem is, as of late, there have been plenty without tack but they have to return back to you because how else would I get some items at 4/6 uses if I don't remove them myself?

Horses tack either ‘breaks’ or goes back into your inventory, depending if there are any uses left when a horse retires.
