Welcome Everyone,

One of my favorite things about breeding sims is the custom art.
I, myself, am a digital artist and I would love to offer my services. I do have some ground rules.

RULES:
-Be kind to me and other players. This is a must. I will not tolerate any kind of rude behavior on this forum.
-Ask any questions you may have before placing your order. You may do this publicly on the forum or personally through a message to me.
-Please fill out the forum of the order you would like to make fully, giving as much detail as possible about your character and what you would like to see.
(Provide a reference sheet if possible with clear colors and attributes.)
-Please send payment as soon as you post your order. You can pay me Via Ingots on Horse Fable or USD through Paypal.

MY PROCEDURE:
This is a little walkthrough of what to expect when ordering an image from me.
Once you have placed your order and sent payment, I will add your name to my slots and begin working on your order.
I will draw up a simple concept sketch in thumbnail form (150px x 150px) and send it to you for approval. If you like the sketch, I will begin working on the second sketch and line work (expect a few changes to the original sketch but over-all design will stay the same.)
*Note if you do not like the sketch I will attempt 2 more sketches of your image. If you are not satisfied after those 2 sketches I will cancel your order or you can buy more sketches at 1 USD a piece.

***Player that pay in bits will not receive any sketches due to the low cost of the artwork***

Once I finish your image I will send it one last time to you with a watermark for your approval. Once approved I will accept your payment and post your final image to the forum for pick up.
*Note, I will make one change to the final image if so desired before accepting payment, no other changes will be made after that.

*Any customer failing to send payment will be skipped.
*Any customer who cancels payment during the working process will have their image put on hold until payment is resent.

Thank you for your order Mystery of Red.
I am still new to the site but it looks like it's 1000 bits for 1 ingot.
If this is the case that would make your total $1,500,000 bits. Is this okay with you?

The going rate for ingots to bits is in the range of 350 to 500. Anything higher is price gouging.

Oh good to know. With that in mind, we can go for a solid $550,000 bits for an exchange rate just above the lower exchange rate.

Your prices are very high to be fair. There isnt a huge art market here but nothing usually sells for ingots and generally at most 25-50k in bits range. Never USD. I am not sure you will get any traction, especially with only one example of pretty simple artwork

In comparison, another player asked for pricing values of their art and it was suggested the pieces with backgrounds and animations could easily garner over 100k

This is the price I sell my art on other sites. It’s okay if others cannot afford. I do sell my art on other sites and this is a full body image where my normal composition for this price is just a head shot. I could do $250,000 bits for a simple head shot but this work is hand made and it take me at least an hour to get the sketch and the line art.

Its fine if you sell it on other sites, but markers and economy is different on other games.

You wont get anyone paying these prices here. Especially since newer players already struggle for money and others can get more for less. I hand draw all my art and dont charge anywhere near as much. Different games have different economies

To be fair I wasn’t accepting bits in the original post. I was accepting the currency equivalent to what I sell this for on other sites. I’m not trying to be rude but I am a real person and this does take my real time. I don’t use any tools to speed up the process. Just hard core blank canvas and a couple reference photos. The price I ask is less than what I make hourly at my job and I spend and where between 2-8 hours a piece. Maybe in the future I will offer an adoptable that is more affordable for those with bits.
Though I suppose I should ask, is it common for players to exchange bits for ingots on the site. I could consider dropping more of the price If the ingots exchange doesn’t really occur. The currency does seem to be a bit imbalanced on the game at the moment.
Edit: I suppose 100 bits -1 ingot is likely closer to the actual economy on the game.

You and every other artist on here. A lot of art here is hand drawn, takes time and effort and no one speeds up the process. Thats just the market for art and the games pricing. Most artists have however, perfected their craft and are just able to create quicker.

And no the real economy is not 100 bits to 1 ingot. It is 350-500 bits a ingot is generally what they sell for. I sell them this way all the time. My art is priced 50k bits or 100 ingots, which is valued 500 ingots to 1, on the pricier end, for highly highly detailed art, days worth of work and still, most player choose to pay bits. I would charge more, however they are old bases I have done years ago and they are just recolors. I personally have drawn my whole life and done digital art since 2009 so I am much quicker with simpilar works. My current Easter tag probably took 30 to 40 minutes and its not a detailed piece.

You can price how you like, but the art market here is already pretty small, with only a small handful of players ever buying any, and if someone could get a detailed tag with a background and even animation for 100k or so, they are going to go that route versus 550k for just a simple full body. It wouls be asking to pay pricing for the Mona Lisa for not that kind of quality.

And again, to reiterate, you can price how you see fit, but you likely wont see much if any sales.
