Breed Redo #2!
Hello hello everyone! We are very excited to post today's update because that means…new breed art!! Those of you who attended our live stream were given hints about who may be galloping into HoFa today and some of you managed to catch our peek on social media. Based on our hints and sneak peeks, a few of you managed to guess today's breed redo correctly! Be sure to follow HoFa on Facebook and Instagram for peeks at upcoming updates.
🐴 Breed Redo: Welsh Pony of Cob Type (C)!
Today's breed redo is the Welsh Pony of Cob Type (C)! The Welsh C is one of four Welsh Pony and Cob breeds calling HoFa home. Due to their lack of population in-game (273 as of typing this) we decided the second of our breed redos should be a less popular breed. Welsh Cs originally joined us in late 2020 and were HoFa’s 18th pure breed.
Other changes to note:
- Welsh C’s have a newer pose that gives them more sass and movement.
- The Welsh C body type has been designed to be more cob-like while also lending itself to the pony-size proportions.
- Welsh C’s have all possible in-game colors and markings so no more grade requests are needed for them!
- Palomino TBs have been updated to be less pink (oops).
Campaigns
We haven’t had the chance yet to post in the campaign forums about the artwork but expect that in the next week.

I love how much personality the new Welsh C has, and the movement is lovely. I'm definitely thinking of picking up a handful of them now.
I'm enjoying the new art and can't wait to see what the next update is. I'm personally hoping for Paints, Irish Draughts or maybe even one of the generic crossbreed bases.

As others have said, I was a tad skeptical of the new art. The TB art wasn't my favorite, but omggggg!!! I absolutely LOVE this!
been trying to let my thoughts sit for a bit before commenting, while i overall think this is an upgrade i can't force myself to like it completely. i do really like the new pose and how much personality it has. i really love the new colors and patterns, i think my favorites are the grey shades. i'm definitely going to be making some new customs!
but compared to the TB redo which i liked immediately, my first impression of this redo didn't feel that great and hasn't gotten much better. for both, i don't mind a change in artstyle at all but i just don't know how to feel about the incredibly different proportions that come with it. personally i feel the new welsh C art doesn't look like a pony, welsh ponies and cobs are very distinct to me and i don't think i'd be able to tell this is a welsh C if i hadn't been told it was.
so i guess this is a good change for people who didn't care for the welsh Cs before and now do, but as someone who's always liked them both in game and irl, it doesn't feel like it's for me.
overall this isn't really affecting how much i'm playing or anything like that lol, but i just feel a bit less excited. not everything is about me of course, i just want to express how i honestly feel about the art and i'm not expecting it to be changed just because i'm not a fan. though i am really happy with how dynamic these two redos have been and am looking forward to more unique poses for future breed redos. 💚

The horse looks disproportionate and silly. The head looks similar to that of the Thoroughbred and is just as ugly. The horse looks nothing like a Welsh Cob. This horse looks almost worse than the Thoroughbred. I don't enjoy the game anymore. I hope not all races will be ruined like these.
I am very sad and disappointed. I invested a lot of time and also real money. Now what I particularly liked about the game is destroyed. It's really frustrating me right now.
Forgotten, I agree it does not look as much like a pony, but I still think the art is pretty, but it will still take some getting used to.
Kobold, please stop being negative, you made it clear last art redo that you hate the new art, you don't have to like it, but you don't have to be so down ether. Please be kind. They are not going to stop just because you don't like the art, so I recommend you try to make the best of it, or leave HoFa. All in all, I think you are being childish and rude, please stop it.
