Hello all and happy some-what of an update day! We are winding down a bit during the holiday season to spend some time stepping back, looking at everything and making more drastic changes now and during 2027.

Since September of 2025 updates have been focused on bug fixes, quality of life (QoL) changes, and adding several requests as well. However, one major thing about HoFa is a common denominator…

Things can be complicated! :(

I have reviewed a lot of feedback and requests from you all and have concluded some parts of HoFa are way too complicated. See examples of your feature requests here about simplifying the game and here about boarding. I also collected info here from you all about boarding and training. I agree, things need to change to make HoFa more enjoyable and less complicated.

I have realized in my own personal life that the quality of services and entertainment around me has drastically dropped. I want to move HoFa toward the opposite of this! That's why in the coming updates and for 2027 there will be some major changes to simplify gameplay and boost subscription value. Y'all pay to play a fun game and it's time to further improve your experience!

So what's going to happen?

Next week will be our first big change to gameplay and the updates after, additional large changes will be made. I’ve collected as much feedback as possible and weighed my options and decided on two things:

1. It’s time to strip core gameplay to the studs. Reevaluate everything, especially boarding and training, and make gameplay simpler. 
2. More bang for your buck. There's plenty of rising RL costs and lack of quality to match those costs. HoFa changes will focus on changes where your subscription and ingot purchases get you more. 

As a game owner and general person of earth I want to take steps to improve folks' lives in the ways I know I can. Part of that means ensuring HoFa stays as financially accessible to as many folks as possible. That also means investing in changes that make the game even more worth spending your hard-earned dollars on. That being said, HoFa will not change subscription or ingot prices. 

These decisions and new focus may seem crazy to some but sometimes you have to take a big leap of faith! Big changes mean lots more input and opinions. As changes come out try to give some time to adjust and try things out. Everything will be changed and adjusted to better suit the requests of the player base and make gameplay a bit easier to understand. :)
