Friesian SportHorse Competition: 2nd Edition

Hi all!

Welcome to the 2nd edition of the Friesian SportHorse Competition! Here is a link to the first edition, and here is a link to the campaign. I wanted to make a second edition seeing how the first edition went! I decided to start the competition on the 4th out of respect for those who participate in BOTM and DOTM (big event days), and because it's Sunday so people have more time to think!

About the Campaign

Examples of horses that can be bred during the event

The Friesian Sporthorse is a cross between a Friesian and a Pintaloosa (Appaloosa × Paint Horse). For this event, any Grade Friesian as a parent is allowed, this is to give players access to a wider variety of genes!

Since this is a crossbreed, you can buy Pintaloosas and either foundation Friesians or any Friesian on the market. If you already have Friesian Sporthorses, you can also breed gen 1, gen 2 and gen 3! Breeding from a cover is also possible. What matters is that in the history of the horse, you were the one that bred this foal. Transferring horses to other accounts is not allowed.

You may submit one of each gender for the competition.

Dates to Remember

October 4 - 11: Breeding window (11th: 11:59PM Game Time)
October 18: End of registration (11:59PM Game Time, there is a slight extension of a couple minutes just in case but closing time is automatic)
November 13: Competition ends (Last day to show!)
November 14: Entries have to be frozen, they will be reviewed that day (any shows happening on that day will disqualify the horse for the categories linked to level and earnings
November 15: Winners announced + rewards sent within the day

Categories

- Lowest BV
Breed a horse with the lowest BV! (Closest to perfect stats, perfect stats are dark green)

1st place: 50k bits and 1 enchanted lake set of your choice
2nd place: 25k bits and 5 seasonal dyes
3rd place: 10k bits and 5 basic dyes

- Most Genes
This will be based on the genetic test results. Make sure your foals are gene tested. Visible dapples and variations count, with Calico and Fleabitten counting as well! However Variant 1s don't count since they are default, example: Splash Variant 1.

1st place: 50k bits and 1 Fire and Ice set (english)
2nd place: 25k bits and 5 seasonal dyes
3rd place: 10k bits and 5 Monarch butterflies

- Show Stopper
The horse with the most show wins in one single discipline of your choice. 2nd place and 3rd place give only a small amount of points. Your horse must stay within one discipline for this category. For example, you cannot combine Dressage, Career and Halter wins.

Clarification: If you wish to qualify, your horse must only show in the category you selected. Horses that have done Exploration, Career or Halter shows will be disqualified.

1st place: 50k bits and one gemmed basic set of your choice
2nd place: 25k bits and one encrusted and dyed flower pad of your choice
3rd place: 10k bits and one pastel rainbow unicorn horn and one white wolf

- Paint It Spooky!
NEW: Dress up your horse and name your horse according to the theme: Halloween!

Judging will take into account tack, companions, backgrounds/overlays, colour coordination, mane and tail (cohesive with the look), creativity, and the overall look of the horse. The amount of genes will not be taken into account, you can win with a plain brown horse.

For the sake of players without platinum, custom backgrounds will not be taken into account.

1st place: 50k bits and one gemmed basic set of your choice
2nd place: 25k bits and 1 encrusted and dyed flower pad of your choice
3rd place: 10k bits and 1 rainbow unicorn horn and 1 white wolf

In case you desire to switch up prizes with another participant (items only), I need DMs from both participants saying they wish to switch with said other participant. I accept both Discord and HoFa DMs.

NEW: 🌟Star Lineage

Horses with at least 1 parent that was registered in the previous competition can enter 2 special categories: Star Prospect and  Star Potential. Those categories will not be separated by gender.

Parents can have multiple offsprings that can participate here.

For a foal to qualify for the Star Lineage program, at least 1 parent has to be a previous contester of the competition. You don't have to be the owner of the previous contester to qualify, so people that don't want to participate in the event but that have horses that previously contested can in theory put up their horses for covers.

- Star Prospect

This category revolves around overall looks and “soundness” of a horse. This includes: Breed Values, Stars, Genes, Variations, Coefficient of Inbreeding (only calculated within the visible pedigree: first 3 layers). Horses will be judged off of all 5 categories combined. Here will be the 4 titles (similar to 1st to 4th):

- Champion Prospect: strongest overall in all 5 sections: 75k bits and 1 variation pass

- Elite Prospect: exceptional genes / breeding values: 50k bits and 1 truffle

- Distinctive Prospect: stands out by its colour, breeding value, etc: 30k and 1 2023 Winter Tack Set

- Rising Prospect: promising horse with strong qualities: 20k and 1 breeder's promise

- Star Potential

This category revolves around overall performance of a horse. This includes: PS, Level, Training Boost, Show wins and Show earnings. Horses will be judged off of all 5 categories combined. Here will be the 4 titles (similar to 1st to 4th):

- Champion Potential: strongest overall in all 5 sections: 75k bits and 1 variation pass

- Elite Potential: exceptional training / show results: 50k bits and a full gemmed basic tack set

- Proven Potential: excellent training and already proving itself through wins / earnings: 30k and 1 2023 Winter Tack Set

- Rising Potential: promising horse with strong performance: 20k and 1 breeder's promise

Bonuses

This is separate from the category prizes and is simply an extra reward. These will not have any leaderboard and will only show a list of horses that won.

- Generation Bonus

Since this is a breeding-focused event, there will also be a small bonus for higher-generation bred FSH. Please note that for a horse to qualify, you must actively register your horse as a Gen horse in the campaign, and your horse has to have the “Generation X” somewhere in the registration section of your horse. Horses can age up and then meet Gen requirements, if your horses are in a case where as foals they did not meet requirements but when aging they suddenly did, as long as “Generation X” is on your horse's registration section your horses will still qualify. - Get That Gene!
You will get 5k bits per copy of a gene. One exception: dapples. In the case of dapples, either a horse shows no dapples therefore you do not get a prize, or a horse shows dapples and you get the full 10k. This is because the foal predictor is not a true science and I don't want people spending ingots for nothing. Variations count for 10k because they are hard to breed.

Rules

Please make sure you read these before entering.

* Your entries must be Friesian Sporthorses.
* Your entries can be foals of two Friesian Sporthorses or a Friesian and a Pintaloosa.

* Having one of the two parents being a cover is allowed. What is important is that the foals were bred by you 🫵.
* The required breedings must take place between October 4th and October 11th.
* Your FSHs must be registered in the Friesian Sporthorse Registry. 
* Your horses must have a proper name (The proper name has to be clearly indicated. "EEFFGGCalico12" does not count. “Sunflower - dada” and "{Nightmoon}@{EEFFGG}" counts. Special characters are allowed.
* You may submit one of each gender for the competition.
* PS and Level are not competition categories. This is to reduce the complexity and the amount of categories.
* For Show Stopper, your horse must remain within one discipline.
* All competition activity and dressing up must be completed by November 13th 11:59PM Game Time. Any competition activity after that date will disqualify the horse in any show-related categories, and dressing up will only count what the horse looked like between 11:59PM and 6AM (Game Time).

* Entries that don't meet the breeding or registration requirements will not be eligible.
