if you have questions or concerns about someone's guide, it's courteous to ask directly on the guide's forum thread so they can easily see and address it! catching wild horses is mostly random, so strategy involves understanding how the mechanics work and what each action does. you can try the safer but costly method of giving treats, or the cheaper and riskier methods of using petting or whistles. the exact effects each action is listed on that guide i believe, along with other info such as lassos being discouraged from use at the moment.

it's not feasible to to create a step-by-step guide for gameplay that is random-chance. think of it like a pokemon game! you cannot guarantee you will always get what you want but there are still strategies to maximize your luck. so it's really up to players to decide what's best for themselves! if you're low on energy then maybe you should avoid petting, or if you have a lot of treats then you could use them instead, and so on. c:

Hi, I am sorry you felt the guide wasn't helpful enough in that area, as forgo said, in the future letting me know on the thread helps me see the feedback to make updates and things.    This was actually mentioned in the guide that horses can still run at anytime and end the encounter.    But taking in the feedback here, I did go bold that area and add a note to it expanding on it.     As well as added another note in regards to being able to inspect layers.    Hopefully in the future this helps it be more noticeable and helpful to others.   But any and all feedback on the matter is welcome in the future (as stated on the site and should be on the post)
