Howdy there everyone! Today we have a bigger than usual update for you all. It includes some changes to the grooming station, new item perks, a new explore location, lifetime placements, bug squashes and more! 

🌈 The Map of Many Colors

Over the last year we have missed quite a few dye releases. These usually come on the solstice or equinox for each season. However, we got behind! To make it up we have a new explore location, the Map of Many colors. This is a limited time explore location which holds the last 14 of our dye releases for all seasons. Exploring this map you will also be able to find many other colorful items beyond our dyes. Items to find are:

• NEW Spring dyes: Light Sea Foam, Clear Sky, Rose
• NEW Summer dyes: Neon Pink, Orange Slice, Banana, Grass Green, Sea Foam
• NEW Fall dyes: Burnt Pie, Dusty Emerald, Steel Blue
• NEW Winter dyes: Reindeer, Darkest Emerald, Fresh Snow
• Rainbow pads (Rare)
• Monarch Butterflies (Interactive). Good luck chasing and catching those sneaky butterflies!

The Map of Many Colors can be explored until September 13 at 11:59PM ET/game time.

With these new dyes that means we also have new items! All pads, halters, polos, blankets, and roses now come in these colors. 

✨ NEW: Unlimited and Mass Grooming + New Items!

We’ve had several requests for some changes to the Grooming Station. Today we release a new item and a new mass action to fulfill these requests!

Grooming Guide

The Grooming Guide can be bought at the General store and allows you to unlimited cut or grow horse manes and tails for 24-hours. This guide works for all players.

Premium and Regular Mane Braid Kit

These braiding kits that allow you to braid your horse's mane. They work like shears and serums but for braiding!

Premium and Regular Tail Braid Kit

These braiding kits that allow you to braid your horse's tail. They work like shears and serums but for braiding!

Mass Groom

We now have a new mass groom feature which is available to all platinum upgraded players. This mass groom station allows you to select which groom type you want for a mass number of horses manes or tails. How does it work?

All players with a platinum upgrade should now see a “Mass Groom” option at the bottom of the grooming station. Here, you will see grooming options only if you have equipped any of the 24-hour grooming guides:

• Mane Braid Guide: This allows you to unlimited braid your horses manes for 24 hours.
• Tail Braid Guide: This allows you to unlimited braid your horses tails for 24 hours.
• Grooming Guide: This guide allows you to mass groom your horses for 24-hours. This only allows for cutting or growing mane and tails.

If any of these three guides are equipped you are able to mass use their benefits by selecting the location you want to groom and what groom to add. There is no preview for mass groom so be sure you select exactly what you want. Note: Using the braid guides with the mass action allows for selecting the wavy mane or tail.

With these changes the grooming station and tools allows for:

• Mane and tail growing and shearing in few or bulk options
• Mane and tail braiding in few and bulk options
• Unlimited growing, shearing, and braiding if using the guides.
• Mass grooming updates for Platinum players when guides are equipped.

Lastly, the grooming guides have all been added to the boosts section on the player page.

💜 NEW: Breeding Items

We have seen tons of discussion about gender change items or items that may better allow for a certain gender in breeding. Based on player feedback we have decided it is best to release items that increase the chance of a specific gender during breeding. These are:

• Filly Coin: A useful coin that when equipped to a horse increases the chance of producing a filly to 80%. Only works on home-bred horses.
• Colt Coin: A useful coin that when equipped to a horse increases the chance of producing a colt to 80%. Only works on home-bred horses. 

These new coins can be bought in the General Store in the “Special” tab and have a single use. These can be equipped to your horse and are used on their next successful breeding. A failed breeding will not use the coin.

🐴 New Item Benefit!

Monarch Butterflies now offer a rare boost to horses they are equipped to. Horses who are enjoying frolicing with our Monarch Butterflies now will not retire until after their 21st 

birthday. On their age up to 22 they return to the possibility of retiring. 

🪙 Ingot Sale!

We’ve been hard at work on adding lots of requests and fixing bugs! We also have quite a few new items and thus, you probably want to try them out! From today until September 7th at 11:59pm EST/game time ingots are on sale for up to 35% off. We have new item bundles of our new items for you plus some of our classic bundles. These include:

• Guide Bundles
• Custom Token Bundles
• Energy Bundles
• New Item Bundles
• Breeding Item Bundles

Additionally, Magic and Spectral Tokens are in the General Store as well.

🏆 NEW: Lifetime Placements

We are very excited to add a long awaited request! All horses now have a listing on their profile for their lifetime 1st through 3rd discipline and halter placements. Additionally, lifetime earnings for specifically discipline, halter, and careers are displayed as well! This change is not retroactive and begins taking effect from this update onward. Earnings listed in Herd Management now include discipline, halter, and career specific totals as well. Note: These are adding on top of the previous lifetime total for current horses.

🐎 NEW: Equipment Section

Many of our new folks have enjoyed looking at everyone's pretty tacked ponies but they couldn’t figure out what tack they were looking at! We have added an equipment section at the bottom of horse pages which shows items on the horse with description and number of uses.

🥇 Achievement Changes

Achievements have been sneakily giving bonuses folks didn’t know were coming. This caused many of you to activate 24-hour benefits you would have saved for later. Now, achievements show the upcoming benefit before you collect it. To help those caught in the achievements antics, if you had previously gotten a 24-hour benefit, you can one-time reup that benefit at any time at the top of the achievements page.

💰 Sale Pen Changes

We have added the advanced search filter to player sales pens! Additionally, we’ve worked on the lag so sales pens should load much more quickly.

📝 Breed Redo Poll

We have a new poll ready for folks to vote for their top 5 favorite breeds to be added to our breed redo queue! The top 5 winning breeds will be added to the queue from most to least votes. Voting can be done here and ends September 7th at midnight game time!

🗨️ ISO: New Players!

We are still looking to get a small group of new players who would be willing to take a short survey on their experience joining HoFa and general thoughts on starting game play. This will be used to make changes for our next new folks! If you are interested please message Curly and she will send you a link to fill out.

🦟 Bug Fixes

• Fixed the KIT variation display to return to showing variations without the need for KIT genes present.
• Added fix to problem with embryos disappearing when made.
• Added update to craft room causing issues with peppermints.
• New logic added to fix any lingering possible issues when freezing account or tabs.
• Custom photo backgrounds should now work.
• Added errors when trying to multi surrender the same horse.
• Added fix to breeding “Something went wrong!”
• Purebred registry no longer forever loads if submitting empty registration.
• Added tracking and fix to EA use at roll over.
