A couple of questions about retirement

So I had a horse retire today, first time it's happened and I have a few questions.
- The tack he was wearing, it looks like I got that back in my inventory, is that correct? I thought about tacking it off before he hit 21 but I forgot about it.
- I've heard horses without foals are deleted from the retirement pasture. My guy was a stud with quite a few foals, but after those foals retire does that mean he will be gone from the pasture or is he preserved as long as there's still a active line tracing back to him?
- Last question: is there a limit to the horses a retirement pasture holds? If there is a limit what should I be doing to persevere the horses I want in it.
1- If the tack still has uses left it is returned to the players storage on retirement
2- In the old game days horses when retired were set to be perma deleted (not be in retirement pasture) if they had NO FOALS while alive. However at some point along the way this mechanic didnt make it back into the game (you can manually retire horses with no foals and they will appear in retirement pasture/they retire with no foals and still be there)
3- There is no limit, however having a lot of horses in there can cause things like loading issues if you ever wanna go look at it (not to mention make them harder to find), however if you have a lot of horses in there it also becomes hard to remove any you may not want and dig through for the ones you do want.

Thank you very much! It's good to know all of those things especially not having to worry about horses getting deleted automatically if I want them to stay. I'll be sure to prune the pasture to prevent lag once more of my horses begin to retire. Again thank you!
