Friesian Sporthorses Contest
Sorry for the delay, I haven't forgotten this event! I bring you a new contest for the crossbreed: Friesian Sporthorses!
This is my first time putting together a competition like this, so I want to give a big thank you to faminesrose, Cali, and obsession for helping me with ideas and figuring out how to put everything together. A lot of the inspiration for this event came from the BOTM events!
I fairly recently became president of this club, and since it is an old club with some coins already invested, I believe this event can revive the breed! I believe in the potential of this club, and I want to make this contest as an opportunity to revive the crossbreed.
About the Campaign

Examples of horses that can be bred during the event
The Friesian Sporthorse is a cross between a Friesian and a Pintaloosa (Appaloosa ร Paint Horse). For this event, any Grade Friesian as a parent is allowed, this is to give players access to a wider variety of genes!
Since this is a crossbreed, you can buy Pintaloosas and either foundation Friesians or any Friesian on the market. If you already have Friesian Sporthorses, you can also breed gen 1, gen 2 and gen 3! Breeding from a cover is also possible. What matters is that in the history of the horse, you were the one that bred this foal. Transferring horses to other accounts is not allowed.
You may submit one of each gender for the competition.
Dates to Remember
August 9 - 16: breeding window
August 17: End of registration (11:59PM Game Time, there is a slight extension of a couple minutes just in case but closing time is automatic)
September 10: Competition ends
September 11: Entries frozen/reviewed
September 12: Winners announced
Categories
- Lowest BV
Breed a horse with the lowest BV! (Most close to perfect stats, perfect stats are dark green)
1st place: 100k bits and one enchanted lake set of your choice
2nd place: 50k bits and 10 winter dyes
3rd place: 25k bits and 5 sea glitter
- Most Genes
This will be based on the genetic test results. Make sure your foals are gene tested. Visible dapples and variations count, with Calico and Fleabitten counting as well! However Variant 1s don't count since they are default, example: Splash Variant 1.
1st place: 100k bits and one Fire and Ice set of your choice
2nd place: 50k bits and 10 spring dyes
3rd place: 25k bits and 5 Monarch butterflies
- Show Stopper
The horse with the most show wins in one of 2 disciplines: Eventing or Dressage. 2nd place and 3rd place give only a small amount of points. Your horse must stay within one discipline for this category. For example, you cannot combine Dressage, Career and Halter wins.
1st place: 50k bits and one gemmed basic set of your choice (additional information will be sent to the winners)
2nd place: 20k bits and one encrusted and dyed flower pad of your choice
3rd place: 10k bits and one pastel rainbow unicorn horn and one grey wolf
- Paint It Summer!
Judging will take into account tack, companions, backgrounds/overlays, colour coordination, creativity, and the overall look of the horse. The amount of genes will not be taken into account, you can win with a plain brown horse.
For the sake of players without platinum, custom backgrounds might not be taken into account. This will be determined at a later date.
In case you desire to switch up prizes with another participant (items only), I need DMs from both participants saying they wish to switch with said other participant. I accept both Discord and HoFa DMs.
Bonuses
This is separate from the category prizes and is simply an extra reward. These will not have any leaderboard.
- Generation Bonus
Since this is a breeding-focused event, there will also be a small bonus for higher-generation bred FSH.
Gen 1: 10k
Gen 2: 20k
Gen 3: 40k
- Get That Gene!
You will get 5k bits per copy of a gene. One exception: dapples. In the case of dapples, either a horse shows no dapples therefore you do not get a prize, or a horse shows dapples and you get the full 10k. This is because the foal predictor is not a true science and I don't want people spending ingots for nothing.
Dapples (dada)
Flaxen (ff)
Manchado (mama)
Mushroom (MuMu)
Rules
Please make sure you read these before entering.
* Your entries must be Friesian Sporthorses.
* Your entries can be foals of two Friesian Sporthorses or a Friesian and a Pintaloosa.
* Having one of the two parents being a cover is allowed. What is important is that the foals were bred by you ๐ซต.
* The required breedings must take place between August 9th and August 16th.
* Your FSHs must be registered in the Friesian Sporthorse Registry.
* Your horses must have a proper name (The proper name has to be clearly indicated. "EEFFGGCalico12" does not count. โSunflower - dadaโ and "{Nightmoon}@{EEFFGG}" counts. Special characters are allowed.
* You may submit one of each gender for the competition.
* PS and Level are not competition categories. This is to reduce the complexity and the amount of categories.
* For Show Stopper, your horse must remain within one discipline.
* All competition activity and dressing up must be completed by September 10th 11:59PM Game Time. Any competition activity after that date will disqualify the horse in any show-related categories, and dressing up will only count what the horse looked like between 11:59PM and around 6AM (Game Time).
* Entries that don't meet the breeding or registration requirements will not be eligible.

Sorry for the delay!
This is my first time running an event like this, so please bear with me if anything needs adjusting along the way!
I wanted to keep the categories fairly varied so that people can approach their FSH in different ways. You can focus on genetics, colour, BV, showing, dressing up, or just make something you're happy with. Hopefully this event will make you want to breed Friesian Sporthorses!
A huge thank you again to faminesrose, Cali, and obsession for helping me brainstorm and put this together ๐ซถ.
Hopefully everyone has fun with it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone breeds!
I will also try to participate myself (I won't register, but you'll be able to see my horses on my main account Whiteclaww!)
EDIT: I forgot that BOTM is for purebreds and crossbreeds are foals, therefore breed values don't exist yetโฆโฆโฆ I have fixed the forum link! Thank you Zimmy for noticing it!
I'm so sorry for the images not displaying properly, the images should be one next to the other ๐ญ
oh fun!
I have some pintaloosas lurking around and some Friesian Wildsโฆ so I might give this a go!
For entering the horsesโฆ do we have to wait until they are adults?
I bred a few and was going to enter a colt and a filly, but realized on the registration form that it requires the screenshot from the management page where the horse's stats don't show up until they are 2.
I have a magnifying glass, so could register them using the stats on their page, but can't take the screenshot from the other page like you would for a foundation horse ๐
edit
I registered them using the screenshot of their page, by using the magnifying glass, let me know if that wasn't correct!

That's a good idea! And don't worry about it, there's always going to be things like that that pop up when you host a new style of competition, I think. :)
I'm still excited to participate!
This is awesome!! So proud of you for putting this together - everything looks great! Image formatting can be super annoying lol. Excited to see how it goes!!
All of my Pintas are open for use for this event! Just DM me if one you need/want isn't listed for stud or brood!
I'm so happy this is gaining some traction! I have also put up for covers some friesians on my main account Whiteclaww in case anyone is interested
All my Pintas are 1 y/o. so i guess i cant join since breeding need to be done by the 16th :/
I can offer pinta covers for those who need it!
