Happy (almost) August everyone! Our breed of the month looks a bit different this month! Based on feedback and votes we will be shaking things up and our BOTM breed this month is….Pony of the Americas!

This month we will be diving into a new BOTM structure that incorporates crossbreeds. So how does it work?

1. By August 31, Your goal is to present a POA that meets as many of the reward categories as possible:
   • Highest PS
   • Highest Level
   • Highest Earnings
   • Most Genes
   • Best Dressed
2. Each entrant will have until August 2nd to purchase from the foundation store the needed parent breeds for the Pony of the Americas (Shetland x Appaloosa).
3. You will have until August 9th to train these parents to prepare them to breed your POA.
4. Your POA must be bred on or after August 9th.
5. Once you have your POA, you will have until August 31 to halter, discipline show and dress up your POA.

It is recommended you have multiple foundation pairs ready to breed in case breedings fail. This way you do not fall behind.

Dates to Remember

August 2: Last day for foundation parents to be bought

August 9: All foundation parents should be old enough to breed. Your POA may only be bred on or after this date.

August 31: Last day to show your POA, Registration Opens

September 1: Day you must freeze your POA

September 2: Winners tallied and announced!

Rules

1. Foundation parents must be bought by August 2nd.
2. Your POA must be bred on or after August 9th.
3. You may submit 1 POA for the event. 
4. The POA you submit must have parents you own, that are bought between July 28 and August 2nd, and are foundation horses.
5. Your POA must be registered to the POA Crossbreed Registry.
6. Your POA must have a name.
7. Your POA MUST be frozen by September 1. Any showing done after August 31 will disqualify you.

1st: 75k bits, 10 Limited Edition Monarch Butterflies, 1 Spectral Token

2nd: 50k bits,  6 Limited Edition Monarch Butterflies, 1 Magic Token

3rd: 25k bits,  3 Limited Edition Monarch Butterflies, 1 Breed Coin

For Most Genes and Best Dressed:

1st: 100k bits, 10 Limited Edition Monarch Butterflies, 2 breed coins
