Clarifying question: So if I currently had the Bronze and I wanted a Forever Upgrade Gold or Platinum, I'd only have to pay the difference? Or is it strictly for the current Forever Plans out in the game and changing their current Forever Plan to a Higher Tiered Forever Plan is where paying the difference is?

This is for new forever upgrades. If you are on a monthly plan then you would cancel the plan and the forever upgrade would be applied to your account.

Why is this much more expensive than both Nebula and Star Stable on their permanent subscriptions? I don't understand.

We have kept lifetime subscriptions at a higher price and on an as-needed basis since all of our income goes toward development and art. It's a way to bring in extra money to fund projects as mentioned in the News post. We're a smaller game with the same bills to pay compared to other larger games who can afford to offer lower forever upgrade prices to many thousands of players. Additionally, we do everything we can to keep the game free to play which means we miss out on income if we required a subscription. Folks who subscribe, buy ingots, or purchase forever upgrades help keep the game free to play for those who are unable to.

Love this so much! I know so much goes into keeping this game going and love that we have an opportunity to do a lifetime sub. That is incredibly generous and so excited to keep seeing the upcoming changes and developments!! 

I do truly appreciate that HoFa is mostly a free to play game. I think that is important. While I personally can't justify the cost of the forever upgrade (I think my husband would have some serious words, as just the monthly bronze cost is constantly questioned), I think it is a very cool opportunity for those who are able. And the game staff and developers deserve reasonable compensation for their hard work, which certainly is not free. Thank you for all you guys do!
