Preserving old blood with a modern take, reigniting the history of the vaqueros and gauchos with the ambling Verlaste to find its way back to the coastlines of Spain and Portugal.

Welcome to the Verlaste Association! This association of breeders came together to bring back the old blood of the historical Jennet before its extinction and subsequent absorption into the modern Andalusian (PRE). By crossing the mighty Friesian with the ambling Saddlebred, and refining it with the Lusitano, the Verlaste Association has found a way to create its modern take on a breed of old. The Association is looking for breeders to help with the breed's upcoming! We are accepting all help in the project!
