New Homepage, QoL Changes, and Campaign Changes!
Happy update day everyone! It’s been awhile since we had a larger update but I have finally managed to get proper internet access and catch up on our big to-do list. Today’s update includes a NEW homepage, QoL changes, bug fixes, campaign changes, and several player requests.
✨ New Homepage!
The HoFa homepage has been updated to feature more of our game art, more information about Horse Fable, a fun “Generate New horse” section, and features quotes from the community! We’re so excited to have a new vibrant and art-filled homepage. Note, those who submitted quotes will be sent some goodies shortly. 🙂
🐎 Stud/Brood Market Changes
The stud/brood market now removes horses unavailable to breed to for a variety of reasons. You can now remove private studs/broods from search in the Stud/Brood Market and horses lacking care do not populate. Additionally, players are now unable to put horses up for stud/brood that do not meet the breed's breeding requirements. Ex. <level 25 or met max breedings. These changes fulfill several player requests!
🏆 HoF Changes
The Hall of Fame has the correct player points for top players. These points are earned from questing from both your intro quests and explore quests. We also have added a fix for any overflowing boxes.
🌈 QoL Changes
We have a few QoL changes from player requests!
- Horses in auctions now display their PS in the auction listing.
- The Club page now allows you to search! This searches club names and descriptions.
- Horse age has been added as a column in mass actions.
🐴 Crossbreed and Pure Breed Registry Changes
We have updated the official cross breed and pure breed registries to be located on one page. Now under “Breed Registries" you can find a tab for: Pure Breed Registries, Crossbreed Registries, and Crossbreeds. This should make finding available official crossbreed registries easier as well as the current active campaigns. The Crossbreed tab will show all of our active club crossbreed campaigns. As a note, we are still working on new rules that would add activity requirements to club crossbreed campaigns since we have many, many of those sitting without activity. This is a 4 week warning for any crossbreed campaign that began between 1/1/2021 and 7/1/2024. Those campaigns with <10% overall completion will be removed on July 8, 2026.
🪙 Campaign Price Changes
As mentioned in preview news, the cost of art for crossbreed campaigns is costing us more than the campaigns had to raise. Crossbreed campaign funding is now broken into two phases. Phase 1 fundraising requires $500 to make the breed an officially game recognised crossbreed. This means any horse with the correct breed % for your cross, will be that cross and you will have an official registry. This also means they will keep the generic breed art. Phase 2 funding requires an additional $500 which will begin the process of receiving your own unique breed art for your cross. We have updated the campaign wording to reflect this. Note, previously we allowed folks to fully fund their campaign by May 15 to keep the $500 price for the unique breed art. These campaigns are:
- American Stock Horse Registry
- Nordic Mountain Curl Pony Club
- Hildr Association
- Celtic Cob Horse Registry
- The Sugarbush Club
- Georgian Grande
- Vampiric Hotblood Society
- Andwari Dream
- Ashgabat Warmblood Association
- Brindabella Mountain Pony Association
- Staverden Association
- Harlequin Warmblood Club
Those campaigns that are at 100% completion will see their campaign made official in the next few weeks. This means horses with the campaign breed % will change over to the crossbreed name and the registry will become an official game registry. NOTE: In order to do this you MUST submit the campaign using the “Submit Campaign" button at the bottom of the “Campaign” tab.
🦟 Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with giant numbers showing for top player points
- Fixed over flowing boxes for HoF
- Cob Walkers can now properly use their registration
- Cob Walker foal halter show now allow entries
- Fixed bug that caused the “This horse is not the correct breed!” error
- Added in new code to ensure you can’t retire a horse in auction/trades
- Fixed issue with unable to add freezer items to trades
- Manual personality testing no longer forever loads
- You can no longer put underaged horses up for stud/brood using mass actions.

I am so happy to see some of these QoL changes, especially the registry changes!
Congrats to the campaigns that met funding in time before the change for getting everything finished in a crunch.
Heading over to check out the landing page now, but I am sure its greatly improved and welcoming!
I love all the bug fixes and quality of life updates!
I do have a campaign question though. What happens if a campaign has color or pattern restrictions? Would EVERY horse with the proper breed percentage become official even if they have incorrect genetics for that breed? Are there grade crossbreds? I hope I am explaining properly. I don't think we have an official crossbreed yet that has had restrictions.
I have a question about campaigns as well - I have one where I have 200 horses in gens 1, around 30 in gen 2 and I’ve just been struggling to get gen3s, I think I have one but it doesn’t count towards the percentage until it’s 2 years old. Overall percentage is sitting at 2% but I started the campaign in 2023. I get it’s easier to say percentage but could it be based off recent horse submissions? Like x amount of horses submitted in the last month? This is the campaign for reference https://horsefable.com/club/237 - Pompeii is my side and where I mainly breed the breed.
