How to make money?

I'm kinda new, played for a few days and then never touched the game again, saw all of my horses are gone, and now I have to start from scratch…. how do I make money??
Making Money on HoFa
- [Game Room] found by clicking “Town” you can find the Game Room. It won't make you mass money, but you get 100 bits every time you win which is at least something. Rock Paper Scissors can be played 20 times daily and Higher or Lower has no limit.
- [Hoofbeat Plains] is a good spot to collect items and wild horses that can be turned around and sold. Things like Roses wont get you money, but things like treat ingredients and dyes can easily get you quick money when sold in multiples or stacks. [Or you can make Regular / Sweet Treats in the Craft room with treat ingredients which sell for more] Wild horses can usually get you anywhere to a 5k-100k+ depending on the genes they have. A lot of people will throw wild horses up in Auction, and items in Market Trades (both under Market). To explore you will need some horses to explore with, you can check the rescue for cheap horses, horse sales for cheap horses, or you are welcome to reach out to me and I can throw some foundation horses your way to explore with too.
- [Dark Horse Mine] you have a chance to find Gems that you could possibly sell, or even sometimes find some extra bits or Ingots. Both Dark Horse Mine and Hoofbeat Plains will require the use of Player Energy.
- [Selling Art] If you are an artsy person you could make and sell art for other players to use (like avatars, banners, horse backgrounds). Just make sure to read the Art Rules (like no ai)
- All players have access to Model Career in the Career Center you could always throw some cheap horses into careers. Just make sure you get them personality tested at the vet if they are not already (and that they have Career checked on their edit page, and Model set for the Career box). Careering doesn't have an ‘entry fee’ like shows does and you will always get some amount of bits back. Horses with 100% energy can be careered 5 times in a day, each time takes 30 minutes.
- Horses that are 4 or 5 stars could be Haltered, but Halter shows have an ‘entry fee’ and you are not guaranteed to get your money back or make a profit. Its usually recommended for new players to hold off until they have a bit more money to play with or a better understanding for halter.
- Horses that have HIGH PS (if you can find some cheap, or a player has some to help out with) can be entered in Discipline Shows, these also have a fee though and you are not promised to make a profit. Disc shows are shakey for gains, so I wouldn't really touch these yet unless you get like… 7k+ ps horses and some wiggle room with bits.
- If you have the ability to, you could buy Ingots (real life money) and sell them. Going exchange is usually 500 bits for 1 ingot. (though sometimes people do a range of like… 350-500 bits to one ingot).
If you have discord, you could always join the Official HoFa Discord Server (under community). It can help for extra advertising, sales, giveaways, extra help (though here in forums is fine too! Just make sure to check back for possible replys), etc.
If I missed something I am sure someone else will add it, I know there is a "bit making guide' that was made but I dont have the link on stand by.

you also get bank income every sunday in-game based on how much you have stored in there, up to $70k for basic accounts and $80k for upgraded ones! so try to move all your money into the bank when you're done playing on saturdays to get a bit extra the next day c:

Try to buy cheap horses with good breed standards. The Rescue is super underrated. You can adopt horses from there for $500 or less and resell them for more. Putting horses up for stud and brood can also bring in some money. Be sure to check the Achievements page under Account every once in a while, because after breeding so many foals, finding so many gems, ECT you get rewards that vary from ingots, bits, boosts and more.
