Preview Cutting, Growing and Braiding Mane/Tail

I have tried out growing the tail and hair on a horse of mine (first time trying out the feature) and it didn't do anything. I assume they're already at max. length. (Or maybe I just don't know how it works). I would love it, if in the preview tab, or in the grooming tab, you could preview the available lengths and mane/hairstyles. I'd hate to keep wasting the expensive grooming items on something that either doesn't work, or looks uglier than I'd imagined.
I love the option to change mane/tail style, I just want to know what it looks like, before spending the item :)

It is more than likely and, unfortunately, you are using it on a breed that is NOT capable of allowing their manes/tails to be grown out as, currently, it is only available for breeds with the newer lineart, so like the crossbreeds just released, light foal art, Thoroughbreds etc and the game does NOT tell you about that whatsoever. It was in a news post way back when the items were dropped and if I'm not mistaken, the item description does not denote this at all and newer players, will not know about this.
