Hello everyone and happy update day! Today's update was very large on the back end which meant we’ve had to upgrade the HoFa server, optimize the database, and push new code . We have successfully launched new code for both discipline and halter shows, fixed a few bugs, and release Pintaloosas! With this update, please be patient as we work to ensure showing runs smoothly with these changes. We do not expect any issues but should some arise there may be downtime and/or game roll backs

✨ Showing Optimizations!

New code has been pushed that addresses our game-wide lag! Most of our lag came from the huge amount of shows running at rollover times. Now, this code has been optimized for both halter and discipline shows. This means at rollover times you should see much less lag than you experienced previously. We have thoroughly tested this code on the dev server in a wide variety of scenarios. If anything major occurs the game could possibly be reverted back to pre-show change. We do not expect to have to do this but we want everyone to be aware of the worst case scenario.

🐴 New Official Crossbreed: Pintaloosas!

What an exciting day! We are welcoming our newest official crossbreed, Pintaloosas! Pintaloosas are a 50/50 cross between the American Paint and Appaloosa. This breed comes in tons of colors and patterns which makes them great for all you color and gene lovers out there. It also boasts our new english tack, western tack, and flower pads! Congrats to all those who contributed to the Pintaloosa breed. We hope everyone enjoys ogling at the Pintaloosas just like we have.

🪙 Ingot & Token Sale!

To help pay toward the extra dev time for show optimizations, we are putting ingots on sale from now until February 8th at 11:59pm EST/game time. You can buy ingots in the Ingot Store and both magic and spectral tokens in the General Store. Additionally, if you want to support on-going game updates be sure to upgrade your account! All of HoFas income goes toward development and art updates. 😄

🦟 Bug Fixes

• Issues with some quests have been fixed, specifically Aren Gee
• Being unable to add more than 4 breeds for club rules has been fixed.
• Attempted a fix for frozen horses being kicked then unable to board at home.
• Fixed some issues with the text editor with images and formatting.
• Several bugs associated with breeds that will soon be transitioned to the generic art have been closed as “Not A Bug”. As previously announced, we will not be pushing image or tack fixes for any breed that is not boasting the new art style.
