It's Winter in HoFa!
Happy winter everyone! We are updating a day earlier than usual for our winter fun due to myself, Curly, being away on the 20th. Today's update is a big one and has taken quite a bit of heavy lifting to finish before the end of the year. Per request, horse coat colors have been made a bit more vivid. This is part 1 of 2 updates for base color updates. Additionally, it's winter in Hoofbeat Plains!
⛄ Winter in HoFa!
Well, well, well, it looks as though an unexpected snow has fallen into Hoofbeat Plains. Winter came early this year and all the locals are celebrating! Hoofbeat Plains is expected to be covered in snow until March 20th, 2026! This also means winter dyes and a few winter items can now be found while exploring. As a note, fall dyes are still in explore due to the winter solstice actually being tomorrow. :)
❄️ Winter Holiday Items!
The Emporium has been stocked with many holiday items including our Snowflake tacksets, winter companions (now with added twin boost!), and many more seasonal items. Additionally Magic and Spectral Tokens are up for sale in the General Store. These will be on sale until February 1st, 2026.
🎄 Winter Bundles
To make buying winter items a bit easier, a few Winter bundles have been placed at the Ingot Store until February 1st at midnight EST. Be sure to stock up on all your favorite winter items, tokens, and more!
🌈 Base Color Redos!
We’ve been hard at work completing the more vivid colors of all the currently released new art work. Today we are releasing the updated colors for: Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Clydesdales, and Welsh C! Next update will include the light generic adult and foal and our released new art cross breeds. Later we will begin redoing our files for the unreleased art breeds along with the new english, western, halters, polos and blankets. We hope you all enjoy exploring all the newly updated colors!
📅 End of Year Wind Down
The last few weeks of 2025 we will be pausing any major updates and focusing all staff work on prepping to begin a consistent art release schedule beginning January 10th. At that time we plan to have our 2026 year timeline ready to give out expected dates for fixes, features, and art. Happy holidays everyone and we hope you have a wonderful season!

I already said this in the discord, but the new shades are absolutely gorgeous. I'm excited for part 2 of the color update.
Will there be the separate map for Exploring like there was last year with all the gumdrops and gingerbread houses etc, plus the peppermints making a return or will that be on hold for the time being? I always look forward to the separate map whenever the holiday season arrives for it.
Holy hell that Arabian seems to pop more, especially with those dapples. Now I need to go check out my dapply babies ((and eventually wait for ASB to have their art redone and their dapples pop too.))

Oooo thank you! My brain was jumping the gun and thinking it'd be out now already.
The new colors have been a fun positive that I think a lot of us really could have used right now while in the midst of mass holidays and the end of the year. The difference is crazy! I love the fleabitten greys, that got a MASSIVE glow up, and I will be happy to have most of the greys in my herds (at least in speckled amounts LOL).
So happy to see SO MANY things in the Emporium for this winter season! Will have to get some more ingots soon to cover for everything I am about to spend….. Got some pixels to go dress up! Can't wait to see the updated tack and stuff, especially with the new horse art and colors and everything. Hopefully when it gets released no mass bug infestations happen, here is to hoping HoFa plays nice with all this new stuff lol
It will be interesting to see the timeline for next year and what all is planned :) You guys have been working so hard for everything I hope the timeline helps ease some stress a lil? Give you certain things to focus more on for releases than trying to do everything kinda thing? Either way, thank you so much for everything you have been doing! Make sure you guys are taking some you time too :D Dont need any mass burn out around the already hectic holidays.
