Club/Campaign Changes, Show Change, & Bug Squashes!
Hello HoFa family and happy update day! Today we have several club and campaign changes, bug squashes, and show changes.
🏠 Club and Campaign Changes
We are excited to announce several QoL and bug fixes for clubs and campaigns! Now, clubs and campaigns have a bit less frustration with horse registration and campaigns now enjoy more horses in halter shows.
Club Guidelines
Clubs can now use the “Guideline” requirements under “Settings” to add in club requirements for breed, breed mix %, and discipline. Additionally, the registration list now only allows horses that meet club guidelines to register. No more looking through horses to make sure they fit your club!
Note: When adding guidelines be sure to “+ New Guideline”, input the info, click the green “Add Guideline”, AND save the club settings.
Note 2: This feature allows for multiple crosses or disciplines to submit. Ex. 50/50 cross guideline with Barrel Racing discipline guideline allows for the cross and barrel racing horses.
Campaign Guidelines
Similar to club guidelines campaign clubs now only filter horses for registration that fit the campaign breed %. If you have a campaign breed % approved you do not need to also add the guideline. The campaign breed mix will automatically become a guideline. Note: If you have a campaign % set AND a guideline set, the club allows for horses that meet EITHER requirement to register.
Campaign Halter Shows
For all you lovely folk who love to halter show your horses, clubs with a campaign now allow horses that are 1, 2, and 3* to enter club halter shows. Prior, horses must be submitted to the campaign meaning, 4* or 5*, to enter into club halter shows. Ideally, this means leveling and breeding more campaign horses is a bit easier.
Campaign Bug Fixes
With these changes, the bugs associated with campaigns and showing should now be fixed!
🏆 Show Creation & Enter All Change
Show Creation Time Change
A bug was causing issues for folks in making new shows daily. Show creation now resets at 8AM est/game time to keep on schedule and allow for more consistent show creation. Everything else runs as it did before.
Enter All Change
Enter all was using the rule settings to enter based on total horses in all tiers of a show. This now works using the total number of horses in the specific tier of the show.
🦟 Bug Fixes
- The wild horse boost given when you complete an achievement was not working. This is now properly working for everyone who has them unlocked.
- The Rock, Paper, Scissors game should now work properly. We had to reteach Strata the rules. She was such a cheater! ;)
- An issue with public bred studs/broods was reported. Historically horses with a set limit only had successful breedings count and failed breedings would not count down their limit. A note has been added on horse pages and mass actions that breedings count only successful breedings.
- The retirement date filter now filters properly by month/day/year
- Fixed issues with the old light generic art sneaking back. All light generics should be the new art.
- Referral points now properly deduct your allowed redemption points.
- An issue with training career only horses has been fixed.
- Additional fix: The training log now properly shows primary AND secondary/career trainings. This apparently wasn’t properly showing trainings.
- We are working to update all english and western tack so any bugs reported for those will be closed until the new tack is finished and uploaded. Any image bug reports that are for the new art style and not english or western should be fixed now.
- A problem with the custom background text on horse setting displaying for non-platinum accounts has been fixed.
- nd1 variation 2, previously Skewed Dun, is now Skewed Primitive + Color Name. Updates to color names for all D and nd1 horses in-game is upcoming.
- Updated Hoofbeat Plains to allow for keyboard commands like Ctrl+T, Ctrl+A etc.

My grades and crossbreeds that had art did not return to their normal art. They still have generic. Are they just going to stay generic now because everything will eventually be generic? I was kind of hoping I could enjoy their breed art a bit longer before having to deal with generic

thank you for fixing the keyboard issue with the plains so much! i'm really looking forward to explore now that i can use my keyboard with it again!
i don't have any 1-3 stars i can check right now, but my 4 and 5 star campaign foals still don't seem to be able to halter until they're entered in a generation? so i have a few foals that are just barely under the 500 PS requirement (one is at 497 🤣) but they still can't halter until they're trained next week. will the bug fix take some time to fully implement across all stars?
Maki, any pure breed art without an art layer defaults to generic art. I'm not sure your specific problem but if you have a grade missing a purebreed layer or generic horse they should be pulling the generic art.
Nope, as I said, they had proper grade art before the update. Plus my registered crossbreeds like Appendix and Quarabs have generic when they had proper art before as well

Not 100% sure, but when trying to enter a 4* star into their Halter Show, doing enter all, gives me an error? It says An error has occured! But if I manually do it by hand, it goes through fine.
Do I need to go in and change my 4*/5*s for the campaign itself or?
Editing to add: my Enter All is, mostly, set up for Disciplines, but even beforehand, I was able to use Enter All for my Halter ran horses because certain breeds and also, certain star numbers would be entered into Disciplines shows. Could the Enter All settings be the issue? And if so, how do I fix it? As I had no issues just leaving the settings as is, until today and was able to enter my 4*/5* AGPs using Enter All into their appropriate Halter Shows.

I, explicitly, remember this horse, albeit Grade, looking like the DWB lineart and he reverted to a generic lineart. His image was NOT broken when I bought him. So I'm not sure why he is generic when he should actually look like a DWB because when I bought him, I specifically bought him for his Silver genes and while I have moved him to an alt and not used him in a long while, he did NOT look like this, whatsoever.
If I remember correctly, he looked like, almost, a medicine hat DWB instead. Being mostly white, with color on his head/ears, silver mane and tail. Think he almost looked like a max tobiano marking, but forgot the number ((someone just captured a DWB that looked like his old lineart and it was in the Discord)).
