Genetic Inheritance Question

Iโve just bred my 2nd ever foal and he has heterochromia, is this rare or quite common? Also, I was wondering if anyone had a clue whether the trait would be likely to pass down to offspring or not!
โ Thanks :), Xen
The heterochromia is probably caused by a white marking that covers eye like a bald face, so the only way for his offspring to have heterochromia is if they inherit the marking. :)
Makes sense!
Thank you :)
