Hello Cob Walker lovers! Congrats everyone on creating a new crossbreed! New art is set to come your way but first, we need to start the process.
I will work with you all in this forum to get specifics about what you want in your breed. Our workflow will be:
Campaign contributors and club members post reference images. Reference images can be to pick a pose, mane/tail type, conformation-specifics etc. When you post a photo let me know what you like the most in the photo. NOTE: Poses, conformation etc. have some limitations such as no rearing poses and requests must be true to life and make sense for the breed cross %. Ex. We won't do a pony-sized base for a Clydesdale x Perch cross, that would be quite odd.
After submitting ref photo submissions, I will look through and make a master list of suggestions for review. At this time, you all can chat about what you want to see specifically. Ex. Morgans have a bridle path because that was a highly requested option and Irish Cobs have tons of hair because people valued that the most. NOTE: Should there be any aspect that isn't fully agreed upon I will present the best option based on my ability with input from the club president.
Using the final list of requirements, I will begin the greyscale process and sketches of the pose will be posted here. With this, feel free to be a bit picky, add suggestions, and the club may also make large changes if all are agreeable. Ex. Turns out you all don't like the head turned toward the viewer, you'd like it facing forward.
Based on feedback, a second draft will be posted to confirm that everyone likes the base. At this time, no major changes can occur but small or minor changes can occur. Ex. You want the eye facing upward vs. forward.
Once the second draft is approved a greyscale will be completed and we will move into the coloring phase.
Once all the coloring is done, Bedouin will work on the back end to make the breed a reality. This involves a bit of code and inputting.
Bask in the glory of completing a crossbreed campaign and ogle at those beautiful ponies.
Note, with the backlog of campaigns and upcoming breed redos we expect sketch and greyscale phases to take up to 4 months. Campaigns are currently at the top of our to-do list for the next bases and will be added to our queue alongside the next breed redos.
We are in phase 3 (second draft). Please post Your review of the greyscale until October 4th.
I'm imagining a warmblood frame with heavy feathering and heavy mane/tail like cobs have. The pose is a side view of a passing phase of a foxtrot (or at the very least what I could try with my limited horse abilities XD)

Ugh, sorry forgot it didnโt like discord.

And for reference, thatโs a fox trot. I kind of want something thatโll show off the gaited nature of the breed. And the cob length is pointing to mane and tail in case that wasnโt clear with my chicken scratch ๐
It's understandable, don't worry! Do You have any photos for inspiration when it comes to the bodytype? Especially showcasing a combination of long manes and the lighter bodytype?
Hello! Here's the first sketch of the Mystic model! It's a first draft, so major reviews are alright at this point.

I've made it around 145-150cm tall, so a bit taller than an Irish Cob, but smaller than TWH. I've also given it a little bridle path, to give it an additional TWH accent in an otherwise cob-inspired mane, but it can be removed without a problem. The bodytype is close to TWH, with only marginal cob influences, but the mane thickness and feathered legs gives off a heavier impression.

I kinda like that actually! I think it looks good.
That's great to hear! :) If You โd notice something at a later point, would like some feature changed or to see an alternative version of it, thereโs still time to request it for the next week.
I forgot to mention - the tail is a bit shorter than on the ref, because the default version is supposed to be middle lenght. There's an option to make a special, breed-specific mane or tail style a default, but it could make it a bit harder to implement additional manes immediately upon release. The tail that trails on the ground is definitely doable, but I'd recommend to make it a โlongโ tail variation.
