New Equestrian Looking for Advice

Rylee Walstad [Bronze || 31 posts] on 4/09/2025 8:08 pm

Hello Everyone,

My name is Rylee. I am a fellow horse lover and breeding sim lover.

I am new to the site and looking for some advice.

I did some exploring on the help/wiki pages and I believe I understand the breeding aspect of the game.
Any tips for generating cash in the game?
I thought I was signing horses up for halter competitions but I see no notifications so I am unsure if anything actually happened haha.
I see the site is pretty young. I am happy to be here and help it grow.

Hey Maki, Thanks for responding.
How can I add a custom avatar now that I have upgraded my account?
I see a plain text box where custom avatar section is in the user settings.

Preferably use anything but Imgur as most folks, as of late, has been having issues with using Imgur. But yes, you would copy/paste the url into that custom avatar section is at under the user settings and hit save to โ€œactivateโ€ it.

As well, you will not get any notifications if Halters ran. You can tell by either how much cash you have on hand, has gone up, or you can navigate to here -โ†’ https://horsefable.com/estate/overview

Up top gives you a general rundown of what you made/loss etc. As well, you can also go to your horses' page and there will be some icons underneath their picture/image thingy. You will want the last icon, the clock looking one with an arrow pointing in counterclockwise way. Clicking/tapping onto it will show you the Horses' History. There you can see when it was born, sold to, bred to etc and then Discipline/entries/results/bits earned. Halters along with Career results too. You can use that section as a reference point to whenever a horse runs a Halter show.

Halters, if I am remembering correctly, is it needs to be 20 entries altogether or if not, you have to wait once every 24 hours, whereas Disciplines run four times, no matter the amount. I think that's 7am/1pm. 7pm/1am ((the game is set to eastern time zone and we had the spring forward daylight savings, otherwise I think it's usually 6 and noonโ€ฆ forgive me if I am wrong)). And rollover is always at midnight game time.
