Is showing in disciplines tied to the horseโ€™s stars?

I have a 2 year old horse that has 1000-800-600 in top 3 highest stats for cutting, but am only able to show him in foundation cutting. He is a 1* Iberian Warmblood. Is the discipline level tied to star number?

This one I assume. Of which, you purchased from me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you take a closer look, you'll see it reads Foundation, Tier 2, which is the second tier of showing and not the first. Stars can indicate what they'll likely place in competitions but won't directly determine it (at least, from what I've seen). At Tier 2, cutting, you won't have much competition, so you'll have a much higher chance of earning monies from them (and earning points and therefore, levels).

Really, I'll likely be your largest competition with my own stockโ€ฆ whatever happens to also be in Foundation, Tier 2 area.

Oh, yeah he was from you, thats cool!

Will he be able to advance to higher ranks?

Yes'um! As long as you continue to train him, his rank will continue to creep upward. You also have the option of changing his discipline. Since his TB (Training Boost) is so high, he'll train up quick in a different discipline too. That's completely up to you.

Should you want to go that route (to make a new line into what you want it to be), I'd suggest putting the new discipline as his second and only train him in his second, while competing him in his first.
