Dappled Gene

I have been looking at the gene string of some horses, so can any one tell me what should I be looking for to get a dappled horse?
dapples are a hidden gene, so you cannot see it in the gene string. however, dapples only show with 2 copies of the gene. so a horse showing dapples has 2 copies, and their foals will always inherit 1 copy of the gene from that parent. if you breed a dappled horse to a non-dappled horse and get a dappled foal, then the non-dappled horse has only 1 copy of the gene
