Leveling up Crossbreeds?

So I have alot of horses you could consider "mutts" to put it short, as I Bred for performance in the disciplines the parents where good at and matched at a high level! However it seems I am not able to halter show these babies so I'll not sure how to level them up?
Yeah you can't Halter cross-breeds that aren't eligible for an active campaign. You will have to wait for the foals to age up to either discipline show them or career them.
Horses dont need to halter in order to level up either
That was kind of implied in being able to discipline or career them. Also foals can only level up through halters.
