You can also buy ingots from other players, if they're willing to sell. Try setting up an ISO trade (in search of), offering bits for ingots. The usual rate is 500 bits for 1 ingot, so 500 ingots would cost $250k. You could always offer more bits to make the trade more enticing for other players.

@pippin, they were asking about if the items in the ingot store cost real money or not to purchase from there, which they do.
