You'll have to go for cheaper horses. That Shetland mare is $13,000. There are extremely cheap horses in the rescue

Since you're out of money I would advise against going for horses that you really want at the moment and go for whatever is cheap. It sucks to do it that way but thats what you have to do until you start getting a steady income and start saving money. I would recommend using your player energy in the dark horse mine as that might be a better guarantee to get something eventually you can sell. The scrap yard is just a mass mixture of things other players have discarded and you might not find anything you'll have luck selling in there. 

You can try selling the lasso, I'm really not sure if people are buying those or not.

Alternatively, you can have up to 3 accounts so if you want to start over so to speak and haven't made all 3 you could do that.
