I was trying to breed my horse to another players horse, but it said breeding did not take due to a lethal Overo gene, what does that mean?

In simple terms horses can't live with two copies of the overo gene, so you shouldn't breed two overo horses together if you want a live foal.
Okay, thank you

You can breed them, but just treat it as a failed breeding and try again. There's a chance of getting a Frfr foal.
In real life when you breed two horses with the overo gene for some reason the foal always dies within a few hours of birth. It's honestly sad

it doesn't always happen though? it's if the foal inherited two copies which is a 25% chance, there's an equal chance you could breed overo horses together and get a foal without overo at all. so you can technically breed overo horses together irl and have some healthy overo foals, but the chance of having sick foals is way too much to risk which is why it's avoided.
