My first banner made me growl and say bad words

Yep, above is the offending banner that made me swear, growl, and grumble into my coffee.  Not due to artistic issues, oh nooooo.  Instead, it was the fact that the settings tab states 1060 x 200... But does not take into account the margins and padding for that field, which brings it down to 960x180.  This was discovered through trial and swearing and repeatedly downsizing the image a little at a time until it fit properly.  I'd love to see that corrected on the settings page, or perhaps it is supposed to shrink our image to fit and it simply... isn't?  Dunno.  Either way, I'm loving my banner, but my coffee pot is hating me right now.

Aside from hard to read, the banner is pretty. What did you use to make it? I use Canva and always make my design 1060x200 and never have any issues.

I also use Canva, and I use the same size, 1060x200. No problems yet.

I use both Daz Studio and Photoshop 2024, along with Lightroom, etc. depending on what I'm working on.  I agree, the text is a bit on the harder to read side, but I really didn't want to have to haze over the background to make it pop more.  I think the issue may be with the fact that I have it bordered.  I literally had to keep adjusting until it sit correctly.  Or perhaps it has something to do with Imgur being the image host?  Not sure.  I do know that once I accounted for the margin and padding listed for the banner field, it all fit perfectly.

My hand drawn original tags are done on Procreate, and while a different size, there isnt any issues with them either so maybe its the programs you use? I used to use imgur and had no problems with it either, but since imgur images dont always work on this site anymore I switched to imgbb

I did notice that imgur wouldn't work for my avatar.  I will likely stick with IBB from here out.  But yeah, I just found it frustrating.  I plan to retry it at the 1060x200 size but with it hosted on IBB instead to see if that helps.
