How much would this horse sell for?

Hello! I recently captured a wild chinco colt (Chincoteague Colt) and I don't know how much he would sell for if I were to sell him. How much should I put him up for?

It's hard to say since we don't know how many stars yet... I would sell it for around 5,000 that's what I sell my four star babies for.

I would go higher, he is a wild, so like $6,500-$7,000 after foal training and his PS and tb go up.

Edit: I did not know that they are a breed only found in the wilds like WM said! Don't listen to my answer!

Hi there! Chincoteagues are a limited breed and can only be found in the wilds now. I would not sell for less than 10000 - 15000 bits. Please DO NOT sell it for the small amounts the people above mentioned!!

Chincoteagues also have a lot of Tobiano variations, you can check that with the adult preview (and inspect the layers on pc to see which variation it is)

Tobiano 7-10 are especially rare and you could get 50000+ for it :)

Lately I haven't been getting many bites for any of my wild chincos at auction but for that guy I'd say 10-15k is a fair starting price. You can also put him up in the trades and see what kind of offers you get!

You're welcome!

@esquire, I've noticed Auctions often depend on who's online, and who's actively buying. It pays to keep a Chincoteague with a variation, flaxen, dapples, etc. if you can't sell it for a good price right away.

I myself am trying to get all the Tobiano variations in them, but sometimes I won't look at the auction house for a week or two. When I'm actively looking at the same time as another Chincoteague breeder our bids can get in the 100k range.

It also pays to advertise in the discord, that's where I see most of the horses I've bid on previously :)

So to sum up, if prices are currently a bit low, it's worth keeping the horse & selling it later on, or studding/brooding it out for a decent fee.
