Failed breeding clinic (HELP)

I just got a message that makes no sense to me when I tried to implant an embryo into a mare. The massage read "Need a stallion". What does that have to do with implanting an embryo? Or is it a bug? Have anyone else gotten this?

Did you inject the egg from a stallion straw, then use an embryo to implant into a mare?
Yes, the error message came when I tried implanting the embryo into a recip mare.
