[Rejected] Make it impossible to brand horses bred by someone else.

I hate brands, sorry but that's the truth. For me they are animal abuse of the worst kind so I will not brand one single horse I have in my stable.
I realiced very soon after joining this game that it was possible to brand horses bred by someone else so I made a brand. As I hate the custom on burning a horse with a hot iron= animal abuse I havn't used it except on sale horses. Far to often i forgott to add the stupid thing and imideatelly the new owner put their hot iron on my horse.

This custom of stealing someone elses acomplichment is from now on something that makes me retire every horse I breed that I don't need myself.

Please make it impossible to brand horses that another player has bred.

@aleon, I 100% see where all your points are! I forgot to brand several of my rare horses and when they were bought, the person branded them. I don't mind if they brand standard horses, but rare ones? 😭✋🏻

but even at the end of the day, I use my brand for tracking purposes-no other reason. I've been able to find stallions or mares well after they've been bought due to my brand, and I've rescued so many of my horses because they were branded. I use my brand for the great or good simply based off of functionally. and like maki had said, freeze branding doesn't hurt. so I could just say that I freeze brand my horses, instead of poking them with an iron rod 🙏

You're entitled to your opinion on brands in real life, and are absolutely welcome to opt out of branding your horses in-game... but this is just a GAME and it is not promoting abusive practices by any means.  If that's the case, take offense to Tennessee Walking Horses being in game because of their history being used for Big Lick or Plantation Horses... once you start down that rabbit hole it becomes a slippery slope, so play YOUR way, and let other people play the way that brings them joy at the end of the day.  :)

LOL I distinctly remember this exact discussion happening in the discord server as well, which resulted in you leaving because you were unhappy with how many people weren't agreeing with you. What made you think it was going to be any different here?

And your point means nothing when you're calling it animal abuse but still doing it to a percentage of your horses 🤷🏻

Not being rude. I have no doubt that you were sad, but you chose to complain about a widely used feature and got upset when people disagreed with you. You also implied that those who do use it are participating in animal abuse, which is obviously going to cause defensiveness.

You posted them on the same day, within several hours of each other. The discord post came first.

If you enjoy the game, then no, I do not want you to leave. We all deserve a space to have fun. However, trying to dictate how others enjoy the game and bringing real life issues into the discussion (eg. animal abuse) does nothing but suck the fun out it.

Have fun. Let others do the same.
