Wild horses, catch or shoo?

What do you do when you find a wild horse?
I usually just leave them alone. Most of them is of breeds that is uninteresting for me and to sell them is more work than it's worth. No one really wants to pay for them.
Sometimes I try to catch an arabian, if it has a colour I like and a really good conformation, and I would definitly try to catch any Marwari I find. So far I have also went for any Akhal Teke I have found bit I will skip that from now on. It's to hard to finish treats to just waste them on a worthless horse, and I have so far had very low sucessrate with lasso and whistle.
So how do you reason?
I'll take a look to see what breed, but then I'll usually shoo them. Exceptions are when I see a variant of either snowcap or varnish blanket on an Appaloosa, a Percheron (ideally non-grey or at least bay, but... I can make do with greying black), or any Chincoteague at all.
Now and then if I see a variant pattern or a skewed dun/roan of another breed, I'll have a try at catching it for the sake of "maybe someone else wants it, then I can help them" - but this does depend on how much player energy I have because I'll usually just do petting. I'll try lassos or whistles when I remember they exist but I don't usually have enough treats to experiment with.

...Because, apparently, heaven forbid I do anything that's not complicated.
You have sucess with petting? Usually when I pet I get a huge :( and the horse go back to almost 0 in bond.
...not often, but once in a while petting will be sufficient.
I just never have enough treat supplies to work with that, and I had an irritating amount of "immediately runs" in reaction to lassos and whistles.

I usually don't have luck with catching wild horses but I got this handsome boy recently.
