Does the breeding planner work?

There's not a lot of details on the breeding planner page on how it's supposed to work, so I'm not sure if it doesn't work or I just don't know how to use it. Does anyone use the breeding planner regularly? Or is it broken atm?

I also wonder about it. I had expected to get a notification that there was a planned breeding for that day but the only use I have found of it is that I can use it as a note book for planned breeding. I rarly do that. It's far to complicated to add the horses. It's asier to just write them down on a sheet of paper.

It's also annoying that I have to add the idnetity number of the horse rather than search them by name. It's name at all other places in the game, except in the URL, so why change to something that isn't used at any other place?

I always thought that it was intended to be more like a notebook and you have to go into it to actually *do* the breeding, but another players commented on the discord the other day that they use it to set up horses to breed when they're off cooldown so they don't forget so that made me wonder if it does breed automatically. I have never used it myself because I thought the notebook way wasn't very efficent. But I set up some breedings for Friday to see if it does it automatically or not.

I thought it was supposed to breed automatically. I set up a pair to breed on 12/26 and they definitely didn't, they're just sitting in the planner now. What I'm not sure about is, when on that day does it do the breeding? Right when it rolls over to the new day? Because then the horses wouldn't have been cared for. So is it at the end of the day? Let me know if you figure anything out Roze XD

I thought it was supposed to auto breed them, it has an option to reschedule if the breeding fails. But its never worked for me either so I just figured it also was just kinda a notebook

Yeah if I remember correctly, it never has autobred and it works like a notebook right. if you go to the page, you should be able to initiate a breeding between the pair from the page though. I thought at some point it was going to be expanded but I might just be remembering players suggestion the different expansions.

And that's a good point about rollover. Care/Age triggers first even before shows rollover so I'm gonna guess that if it does autobred it's at rollover and probably not before care triggers. So theortically if it does autobreed it might only work for horses that are boarded with full livery. I'm gonna switch one of my pairs to full livry and see if that makes a difference.

Also I think the purpose of the IDs is that you might be able to use to to schedule breedings with public studs/broods? I've never tried it before though and it does seem like that would be flawed if it didn't the autobreeding because someone could come along as use it before you. So in that case it might be more like a notebook.

Posting my update here - It does NOT autobreed. So it works like a notebook and you have to hit the breed button from the breed planner or go to the hrose page to breed. I'm fairly certain this is how it is intended to work current state so all these would be good suggestion for player dev ideas!

I think it's good that it doesn't autobreed. There would be far to many situations that would create problems. Those i can come up with very fast is
- Outside stud/brood is remowed from stud/brood service
- Your own horse is on cool down because you bred it to another horse
- Horses that are not cared for
- Horse is retired before breeding
- You sold the horse

What I had expected is what I said earler that I get a notification "you have a planned breeding to check upon"

Well in those situations then it wouldn't/couldn't auto breed.
