From the News post in June:

Our Friends & Blocked Players and Inactive Campaign polls have now closed. Based on the results we will be:

Adding in block features that can be selected by you in your settings including:

• Inability to offer on or buy your sales such as auctions, trades, and sale horses.
• Inability to send you money, horses, messages (this already happens), breeding requests, or trades.
• Inability to see your online status.
• Option to select if they have the ability to read or reply to your forum posts. If selected, text of “This player has you blocked and you cannot interact with their forum posts.”
• You will not see their forum posts. Text of “You have this player blocked.” will display with you having the option to view their reply or post. 

I dunno if it was actually implemented yet cuz I can't figure out how to do it but you would think so since this was from June. However, it seems they already can't message you, or shouldn't be able to. 

@maki it was added- I had a rough day and I kinda got somebody to block me (I had to go apologize on another account). So yeah it was added-

Perhaps it was, but the player message still came through. So maybe it wasn't working on my end? Unless I'm not seeing the settings area. It's doesn't appear to be in the account settings and is not in the friends area either.

I'm thinking that the blocked feature is still as it was before and that the additions are not yet activated? After all, we could block players before and um... not receive messages (although I have no clue if before we received messages or not, because I hadn't blocked anybody).

Except, now, I still did receive the message. 😊 So, if something is supposed to work in a certain way, it didn't work anyway.

By what it says, it seems it was always a feature for anyone you block to not be able to message you. So if you blocked someone and they can still message you, that sounds like a bug.

Okay, I've made a report. Can't recall from which account I blocked though.
