I can't get a single one.  Same thing is happening with me

I feel I have had a harder time since it moved over to Hoofbeat Plains

Yeah, I can barely catch anything lately! I feel like even just a couple of weeks ago I could catch at least one horse a day. now I can't even get that

To me it seemed much easier once we got the hoofbeat plains because you can keep searching. But yes the past week or so I barely encounter any wilds, sometimes taking at least 5+ full energy bars to find one, whether it's good or not and then it just immediately runs. 

However that may not be terrible as the wilds have been flooded imo 

I do have trouble usually but I'm new  ish and i just caught this dude.

I find a lot of wild horses but most of them are uninteresting for me so I just shoo them. When I sometimes try to catch one I now have had no sucess with neither lasso or witsle. Trestas can give effect but not as earler. I feel that something has changed. 

I can't find out how to get wild horses at so could someone explain?

@KatieLee, you go into Explore and Hoofbeat Plains. These are the explore maps that you can randomly encounter a wild horse. Just takes some luck. You will need a horse that still has energy left to explore.

I've had a much harder time catching wild horses since they moved to the Hoofbeat Plains.  Unless I really, really want them I usually just try a couple pets, a lasso and a whistle. Occasionally doing that the whistle will work, but I don't try more than a couple of times unless it's one I'd really love to keep.
