Destination explore items

I'm sure there are grand plans to spice up explore. But I'll start with the simple. I would love it there were places in explore that had some kind of motivation to go to. For example, a higher chance to find apples arounds trees, oats in tall grass, or dyes/clover in flower patches.
I was thinking about this too. I always go to the flowers to look for the new flowers but I know it doesnt matter that way. If it were possible to do and not complicated that would be cool
