Crossbreeds bred to a parent breed

What happens when I breed a crossbreed (as in one of the recognized ones) to one of the breeds that it?
Example: if I breed an Appendix Quarter Horse to a Thoroughbred, will the foal be an Appendix Quarter Horse?
The parent breed percentage will go up. So, using your example, a Quarter Horse and a Thoroughbred create an Appendix Quarter Horse with 50% QH and 50% TB. If you bred that foal back to either a QH or a TB, then that breed percentage would increase to 75% but would be classified as a Crossbreed. Once a Crossbreed hits 90% of one breed, if you breed it back to that same breed, then you will end up with a Grade.
