Fastest way to level horses

Is there one fastest way to level up horses? Or do all leveling things (halter shows, careers, and discipline shows I think) level up equally?
Leveling depends on your horse's stats, both Breed Stats and Performance Stats. If they have poor breed stats, it will be easiest to level in a Career or Discipline... and Exploring. If they have poor Performance Stats, it may be easier to level in Halter, Careers, or Exploring. Those with good Performance Stats do better in Discipline Shows. It all just depends.
