A work around for that is when you make your trade, hit that "eye" button to "watch" the trade and then you'll get notifications when there's a bid. But yes, I agree it'd be nice if it'd set you to be "auto watched". 

I definitely agree there should be a notification for offers.

As far as learning the economy I think its a bit rough these days. People will offer a lot for something they really want whether it's the value or not. 

Most things in the market, in my opinion anyway, are being sold for outrageous prices. Simple basic tack used going for thousands when it costs hundreds new. Dyes going for dozens of thousands. A couple of ingots going for a few good thousand. 

I think your best bet is asking the opinion of others are what they usually charge or would pay for various things. You could make a post here or ask in discord. 

I usually sell dyes for 1k a pop, maybe more for the current new ones or I trade with other people. I sell ingots for 350-500 per bit when I do sell them. I wouldnt sell basic tack, especially used, as new its only a couple hundred bits, its not worth it. I would only try to sell rare tack that is only out seasonally, the rest can go in the scrap yard. I dont sell treats as I rarely get those, so I am not sure of those. 

This is just what I do though. You can ask around and get other opinions to gage your own prices. You can sell anything for whatever you want but I tend to notice much higher priced stuff doesnt usually go anywhere. 

Sorry I drug this off of your original post, but hopefully it can help you and others in the future. To your original point though, I do think a notification on offers would be good.
