Hello everyone and happy almost end of the week! Today we ring in a new tradition!

🐷 The Groundhog

Upon waking up, Mason discovered an unwanted coterie of groundhogs had dug up most of his pastures. With help from other locals, Mason was able to round up all of the groundhogs and they are now for sale in the General Store until February 9th! However, one special groundhog, now lovingly named “Digger”, has been chosen to bring the groundhog day tradition into HoFa! The tradition of groundhog day dates back to the 16th century in which folklore states upon waking up on February 2nd, a groundhog seeing its shadow will mean six more weeks of winter.

This year Digger popped out of his newest, and biggest, hole and happened to…see his shadow! Thus, six more weeks of winter are predicted! Special thanks to Digger and his prediction, the Winter Background has been extended to stay in the General store for six more weeks and will leave on March 16th at midnight.

A few groundhogs managed to get away and can be found wild out exploring today!
