🥳🎂✨ Happy Birthday Horse Fable! ✨🎂🥳

One year ago Horse Fable opened the lands to everyone! Bedouin and I would like to say a huge and very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has spent time with us over the last year. Our players are our greatest asset and have helped HoFa grow from a small game with big hopes for the future to now allowing us to make those hopes a reality and grow into an even larger community! 

 

Thanks to our players and through building HoFa, both Bedouin and I have been learning how to perfect our game dev skills, but also how best to interact with our community, create a game players want, and also produce a horse sim we are extremely proud of. We both work our full-time jobs during the day and have had some bumps in the road the past year which has slowed down our expected progress. We are grateful to our community for allowing us the grace to stumble every now and then, but also to take the time we need to produce updates and changes. Reflecting on the last year we are proud of how far we have managed to come together. A few highlights of our first year are:

• 4 new breeds and updated art for 2 breeds.
• Added over 1,000 new items in-game.
• Produced over 8,300+ horse image layers and 26,000+ tack image layers.
• Participated in our first in-person event, BreyerFest!
• Had tons of fun in our Breeding Bonanza, March Madness, German Fables, and Halloween events.
• Released version 1 of exploring for you to find items while moving around the site.
• Squashed a lot (a lot) of bugs.

 

Now on to the even more fun stuff!

 

🥳 Let’s Party!

This year we are celebrating with one of our favorite birthday themes, Under the Sea!

 

Deck your horses out in a variety of themed items such as the Under the Sea Arch, Sea Glitter, Under the Sea Hat, and Enchanted Lake tack. Now until Sunday, November 13th, these items will be available for purchase at the General Store to celebrate Hofa turning 1.

🦟 Bug Fixes

Clubs & Campaigns

• Not all clubs showing up in the “My Clubs” page.
• Horses not showing up in generations due to retired grandparents.
• Generation 3 horse list showing empty rows in crossbreed campaigns.
• Club transferring now correctly works.
• Strange behavior with accepting/rejecting members/horses in clubs should no longer be an issue.
• Sorting club horses is now possible.

 

Trades

• Auctions & marketplace being too slow to load.
• Auction timers being wonky between the list and page.
• Sales being too slow to load.
• Items going missing from trades once accepted.

• ADDED: Cancel bid option for horse auctions.

 

Other Fixes

• Pedigrees with retired crosses showing all poors.
• All W1 has been eradicated from in-game Arabians. While the genes are now correct, the image and color was not fixed for these horses.
• Retired horses now no longer hoard their tack.
• Fixed assorted image issues from old to new art.
• Typos on new items.
• Missing layers for foal halters now display.
