Ever wanted to check all possible markings and their variations for a breed but didn't feel like playing with the site code? Want to check out how a leopard light buckskin sooty dun dun Irish Cob would look like with your fancy encrusted saddle but the custom generator won't let you preview restricted markings? Fear not, for I present a new idea: ✨Helix's Ultimate Horse Previewer 3000✨ (patent pending).
In all seriousness, I think it would be really cool if there was a way to preview every single gene combo in the game, possibly even with all the accessories we have on here. Every breed, every body type, every marking in one place. Besides being a fun tool it would be a very good way to showcase all the possibilites the game has to offer, especially if it was available to play with for unregistered players. Something like "play with genetics" on the front page maybe? A randomisation option could be added too, so potential new players can check out the massive amount of genetic combos we have on here.
It would require some additional coding but I assume custom generator could be reused with more options added!
I really like the idea of it also being on the front page for guests to play around with.
I am not a coder but I wouldnt think it would be hard to do since we already have all the art and a type of previewer anyway.
Disagree with adding variants and markings that aren't on purebreeds. Variants have kinda been a surprise to find and explore, the same with markings that aren't on purebred horses. The other thing about markings/patterns/etc that aren't on purebred is that the layer is completed when it is "discovered" and adding everything would require a lot of art to be done.
I feel like having the design lab accessable to guests would be potentially beneficial though!

Imo they aren't that much of a surprise to be honest, you can literally search for horses with those genes (the search function even allows you to search for a given variant specifically). It's just that they would all be in one place. As for your other argument, I think you mean the different genes you can breed into grade horses, right? If that's the case of course I don't think it all should be done here and now, they can be added as they appear in the game, just like they do now! :)

I'd like to at least preview Friesdales and official crosses a bit more.

this sounds like it'd be a lot of fun for both possible newcomers and those already playing. On a few other games i play i just mess around with the game's 'wardrobes just cuz it's fun esp if it has a randomize feature on it <3
I would like to at least be able to see all breeds available and play around with their designs would be cool as well.
