Foal Ageing Question

Hello - when foals are 1 year old and will be ageing up to 2 years old - do they have their shows first or age up first?
Just wondering if I should bother entering them in the foal shows when they have 1 day left before ageing up to 2 years old. But I don't want them to lose out on their points if they do have their shows run first. ^_^
The age matters at the time of registeration, not when it actually runs.
I have had some age ups enter and earn points in adult halter classes while waiting for enough entries for their foal shows to run. :)
