I feel like gems should either be less common, or need more uses. Right now it seems like the marketplace is flooded with them and no one is buying. I don't even know how many piles of gems I have just sitting in my inventory. And right now the only use for them (that I'm aware of) is to embellish tack, which costs ingots. Those of us who can't afford to spend real money would rather try to save our ingots for something else.

Maybe turn gems into a type of currency? Or be able to 'cash in' a whole stack of gems for a few ingots. Trading in gems for already embellished tack perhaps. That way ingots could be saved for something better.
